A Muscial Portrait
Last week, I had someone come to the studio for a headshot session. He was a professional cello player and wanted a portrait with his cello. While most headshot clients are looking for a very conservative, formal portrait, this guy wanted something a little more creative.
We eventually came up with something that was pretty straight-forward, but had a creative edge to it.
After he left, I took a few of the other images and started trying to create something even more creative. I was trying to tell the story of how important music was in this person’s life. After tinkering around with the images for a while, I finally came up with this image -
Certainly not your typical headshot. Sessions like this one are what make my job so enjoyable!

Terrific “story” piece! It obviously has a powerful message for me. Your work is so distinctive and unique. Thanks for capturing an image I can feel proud of.

WOW! This really captures the emotion of his connection to his music. Not your ordinary “guy with a cello”. Very, very cool Larry!
