Two Faces

Sometimes, the best images are a result of just playing around.

This week, I was creating a headshot for a Gusi’s theater audition.  We ended up with a very moody, mysterious portrait - which I was thrilled with!  (I hope Gusi likes it too)

During the course of the session, I decided to try a few shots with my infrared camera.  This is the camera that I used for the IR shots on the fine art website (www.lourceyfineart.com).  Up to this point, I have only used it for landscape photography - not sure how it would work on a portrait.

Needless to say, the image we came up with was stunning:

The skin went very pale and her hair turned blue - it was so cool!  What is amazing is to look at the two images together and notice how different she looks.  Probably a little too far out there for most portrait sessions, but we certainly created a very unique image.

  4. AMAZING!!! I think it is truly a talent to get an “akward” teenager to be comfortable with themselves. Clearly you have it. Augusta looks beautiful and she loved the experimental Infared image. She said it looked like Animae. Can’t wait to show off her beautiful headshot to the colleges. They will love it! Thanks!!!!
