WOW Factor
Over the past couple of years, I have starting using Corel Painter in my work. This program allows you to take a photograph and add brushstrokes - one by one - to create the look of a painting. Although it can be quite time-consuming, the results can be outstanding!
I was very honored this year to have one of my painted images appear in Cher Pendarvis’ Painter X Wow! book. This is one of the premier textbooks on how to use the software and Cher is one of the leading teachers in the industry. I was very flattered!
This image was created last year during a trip to the bluebonnet fields. I was trying to create a very impressionist look and feel. The lady with the hat is actually my wife Heather. One of my 2008 “to-do” list items will be to print this onto canvas and hang it in the house somewhere - now that it is “famous!”
