Wisconsin

I just returned from judging the print competition at the Wisconsin Prof. Photographers Assoc.  What a cool experience!

We stayed at this incredible resort called The Osthoff.  It is about an hour and a half north of Milwaukee.

It was the perfect time of year to be there - the weather was cool and the fall colors were all over the place.  The rooms had these little balconies on them and I was determined to have my breakfast out on the balcony the final morning - just to soak up the atmosphere.  Unfortunately, it was about 50 degrees.  I put on 3 or 4 layers, ordered room service and sat down for a chilly - but scenic- breakfast.

Once the convention was over, one of the Milwaukee photographers - Paul Owen- drove me back to the airport.  On the way, we stopped by Milwaukee Museum of Art - one of the coolest buildings in the country.  I took this shot in the main foyer.

There were all kinds of great photographic locations in this place.  Paul showed me one of his favorite portrait spots and shot this image for me:

Pretty cool - huh?

I had a wonderful time and all the Wisconsin photographers were super-friendly.  Hopefully I can return next year!
