This week, Sarah kicked the Fellow Forties Project up a notch. We were shooting for somewhere between sexy and funny.

Believe it or not, this wasn’t the image we were originally trying to create. We spent most of the session doing a different setup - and actually ended up with a cool image. During the last few minutes, we threw together this retro-pinup idea and ended up loving it!

I gotta hand it to Sarah - I thought for sure she would chicken out on the project, but she made it happen. Talk about jumping outside your safe zone…. this is what the 4040 Project is all about!

As for that other image… fear not, it isn’t lost forever. It will be posted at the end of the project, along with all of my rejected self-portraits. Stay tuned!
