Last month, I created a very unusual piece titled “The Audition”

Two of my favorite models, Guis and Sami, were helping with the Westwood play and we decided to capitalize on the cool location and create something. After running through a couple of ideas, we finally settled on this puppeteer concept with Gusi standing on a piano bench to control Sami the puppet. We added a mysterious stranger in the audience to provide some balance - then I painted the entire image. The final piece came out quite cool.

I entered the print in a state-wide photography competition and won several awards, including Best Overall Illustration, Best Illustrative By A Master, Best CPP Image and a Judges Choice Ribbon. Quite a showing!!
