Could This Be The Best Way To Learn Photography?

Hi and welcome to my blog!I do my best
to keep things updated and give you a look at things happening behind the scenes here at Lourcey Photography. Although I've been a professional photographer for over 20 years, I'm also semi-famous for my pizza and bread making. So follow along and enjoy the adventure. And don't be afraid to leave a comment and say hello!

Is there a photographer out there who doesn’t want to get better? Isn’t everyone looking for the ultimate learning platform for photography? Well, Trey Ratcliff of “Stuck in Customs” fame may have just found it!

A few weeks ago, I was introduced to a new learning community called The Arcanum. This thing is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. It is based on the Master/Apprentice concept where people sign up to be apprentices and are chosen by a Master to join their community. The interaction and educational potential is incredible. What you have is a group of like-minded people who are pushing each other creatively while supporting each other through the learning process.

According to their website:

Our Mission is to unlock the Creative Awesomeness within every individual

Art and creativity has a profound affect on our lives. We have more fun when we’re creating and sharing art. Life simply tastes better. We want to enrich the world by bringing more art and artists into it.

How cool is that???

You get one on one critiques from your master, in addition to constant feedback from your fellow apprentices. On top of that, they have a fantastic library that is growing exponentially every day. It contains tutorials, critiques and all kinds of other things. More than your brain could even absorb!

I just completed the Master training process and have just started inviting apprentices to my group. If any of you think that it sounds like something you would like to do, please send me a message on G+ or Twitter and let me know so I can look for your application. I would love to include some of you in my community. We are just starting out so it is a great chance to get in on the ground floor and shape the direction of the group.

Check it out and let me know what you think…

Prepare to take your photography to the next level!

If you are interested in signing up, please contact me first so we can figure out if you are a good fit for my group and I can guide you through the process.
