Get out of AUTO Mode

Larry Lourcey

Hi and welcome to my blog!I do my best
to keep things updated and give you a look at things happening behind the scenes here at Lourcey Photography. Although I've been a professional photographer for over 20 years, I'm also semi-famous for my pizza and bread making. So follow along and enjoy the adventure. And don't be afraid to leave a comment and say hello!

Are you still struggling to get nice images with your point and shoot? Does your iphone camera completely baffle you? Help is on the way.

For years, I have put on photography camps for kids and every year I have people ask- “What about the parents?”

This year, I decided to put together a small, one day workshop on photography basics.

When and Where?

The workshop will take place at The Westwood School’s high school campus on Monday, July 22 from 9am to around 3:00.

Who Can Attend?

This workshop will be geared toward beginner to intermediate photographers. If you are using Program or AUTO on your camera, this is for you! The class size will be very limited to ensure everyone has plenty of time to get their questions answered and get comfortable with their equipment. We will cover topics like:

* Getting better pictures- no matter WHAT camera you own!

* Understanding the basics of exposure.

* When to use aperture-priority vs shutter-priority

* How to get better images with your iPhone camera

* How to work in all kinds of lighting situations

I’ve taught HUNDREDS of pros over the past few years- but you don’t have to be a Pro for this workshop. It is designed to help a beginner come to grips with their camera and start creating images that will stand out in your scrapbook!

How much?

The cost of the workshop is $99, but if you sign up by Saturday the 13th, you can still get the Earlybird price of $79.

But don’t take MY word for it! Here’s what the pros say about my programs…

***

It was a great pleasure to have you speak at the Professional Photographers of Indiana convention! There was nothing but praise for your skills and the program was enjoyable.

Our state was fortunate to have Larry Lourcey speak at our convention in 2009. He was a dynamic speaker that kept the attention of the entire crowd and was able to connect with everyone there regardless of how new to the industry they may have been. He brought a fresh perspective and was entertaining to watch. I highly recommend going to see Larry speak if you ever have the opportunity
